Yes, the title of this post is correct! The OnePlus 2 is going to be available without an invite very soon. We had already said in our earlier post regarding why OnePlus is doing this.
If you do not know whats the story, OnePlus had recently told that they had messed up with the launch of the phone as they started shipping the phone only after a month of the given deadline.
They also said that there are very less invites available for the phone which is annoying and making customers/buyers very angry.
To apologise to its valuable customers, OnePlus's CEO said that they will be making the phone available without an invite. Yes! Without an invite!
But But... The phone will be available without an invite only on the 12th of october, only between 12 Noon to 1:00 PM Indian Standard Time.
You can buy only 2 phones in one order, but you do not have any limit on the number of orders you place. Although, we think even if you can get 1 phone in the "no invite" time period, you are lucky.
The timings for other regions is as follows
- Asia: 12:00 - 1:00 PM HKT
- Europe: 12:00 - 1:00 PM CEST
- North America: 12:00 - 1:00 PM PDT, 3:00 - 4:00 PM ET
OnePlus has mentioned that the time slots will be region-locked, meaning that customers in the US will be able to purchase the handset only during the 12PM to 1PM PDT window OR customers in India can purchase it between 12 noon to 1 PM only.
So who is going to buy the phone on the 12th of October between 12 to 1 PM?
