Facebook now supports 360 degree videos!

Just until a few years back we all were surprised just by the fact that our phones can take photos of itself ( Screenshots ) and after that, it could take videos of itself.

Though 360 degree videos are already available on some social media sites, it will be a massive update for Facebook users, but for now, it is not available for every video. The new feature was first presented at FaceBooks developer conference and can take full 360 degree videos just like you do it on YouTube by dragging your mouse or finger, depending on your device. You could also hold your phone at different angles.

The feature will first roll out on its Android app and will be soon available on iOS devices. It can also be viewed on desktop excluding browsers like Safari and Internet Explorer.

FaceBook is said to be partnering with companies like Disney, Vice, Saturday night live and Lucasfilm. FaceBook however told that this feature will be available to public in the next few days.

Maher Saba, Facebooks director for videos in a statement told
"Along with updates from your friends and family, you will also be able to discover amazing new content on Facebook from media companies, organizations, and individual creators. You could also, for example, imagine watching 360 videos of a friend’s vacation to a small village in France or a festival in Brazil — you’ll be able to look around and experience it as if you were there,"

The company is also rumored to be working on a standalone app only for videos. Facebook representatives have also made it clear that these 360 degree videos will be the next big medium for Facebook to tackle.
